Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in City Honors School! 

The Buffalo Public Schools have posted Saturday testing dates for City Honors and Olmsted Middle/HS admissions. Please read this entire flyer carefully to be sure your attend the correct session. Students in the Buffalo Public Schools (including Westminter and Enterprise Charter Schools) also have the choice of taking the assessment in their current school. Contact your child's school for these testing date(s). 

You must be a resident of the city of Buffalo for your child to participate. Charter and private school families must provide evidence to verify they are residents of the city.The admissions flyer provides detailed information on the proof of residency documents required for a student to test. 

Placement of students to our magnet school setting is fully managed by the Buffalo Publics Schools. For questions, please call the BPS Central Registration center at 816-3717 or visit the website of the BPS Central Registration Office.

Please be aware, On February 15, 2017, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, issued this resolution adjusting the order of students who will be placed at City Honors and Olmsted Schools.
