City Honors has historic day at the 2017 New York State History Day: Taking a Stand in History competition

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. April 24, 2017 — The New York State Historical Association is pleased to announce the 2017 winners of New York History Day: Taking a Stand in History. Hundreds of students, in grades six through twelve, traveled to Cooperstown from all corners of the state to present their papers, documentaries, exhibits, websites, and performances. Students placing first and second in their categories are eligible to compete at National History Day this June in College

Park, Maryland. 4 WNYHD Entries are heading to NHD Finals in June at College Park, MD.

City Honors students received the following honors:

GRADES 6-8 GROUP DOCUMENTARY:
Third Place (1st Alternate to NHD Nationals)
Title: Claudette Colvin: The Girl Who Started A Revolution
School: City Honors School
