The JV team won the Blue Division this year with a record of 15-3. The team is headed to the JV State Tournament in Niagara Falls this weekend (March 2-4).
Three players were named JV Blue Division All Stars: Joseph Miranda, forward, and Quinn Mahoney, goaltender, were both named First Team All Stars and Sam Hollander, forward, was named a Second Team All Star. All three attend City Honors School.
Additionally, their coach, Pat Burke was named the JV Blue Division Coach of the Year.
The Varsity Team also did extremely well this year and they are headed to the Varsity State Tournament in Jamestown this weekend (March 2-4).
Jude Patrick Sabato (forward from City Honors) and Andrew Warner (pool goaltender for the varsity team) were named 1st team White Division All Stars and Sam Hamlett (forward from City Honors) was named a White Division Second Team All Star.
Finally, for the first time, a City Honors student was selected to receive the JT Conti Scholarship from the Western New York High School Club Hockey League. Sam Hamlett received this year's Conti Award. It is presented to an outstanding senior athlete who plays on one of the 20 Varsity Club Hockey teams in the WNYHSCHL.
