Pulitzer Prize-winning alum talks with City Honors students

We were thrilled today to welcome back Jake Halpern '93 to talk during a special assembly for our 600+ grades 9-12 students.

City Honors holds a special place in Jake's heart, and he has been extremely generous with his time over the years. Today's visit marked the fourth time in the last ten years that he's taken time, while back home visiting family in Buffalo, to come to City Honors and meet with our students.

Of course, Jake winning the Pulitzer Prize earlier this year made today's visit the most special yet.

The fact that you could hear a pin drop for the almost 40 minutes he spoke is a testament to Jake's great talent as a story-teller.
